Emanuel Serrato is a Law Clerk in our corporate, investment funds, and securities practice.

Emanuel received his Master of Laws (LL.M.) from University of Wisconsin–Madison Law School, focusing on International Business Transactions, International Trade, and U.S. Law. He received his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente in Guadalajara. Emanuel is a licensed attorney in Mexico.

Prior to joining Schwartz LLC, Emanuel advised domestic and international clients on cross-border corporate transactions, regulatory compliance, labor and employment matters, and commercial operations throughout Mexico. His experience includes counseling multinational companies on U.S.-Mexico business operations, corporate governance, real estate transactions, intellectual property protection, and cross-border contractual matters. He has also represented clients in complex labor and commercial disputes, managed due diligence and regulatory analyses for international investment projects, and advised clients in the renewable energy, biotechnology, manufacturing, and infrastructure sectors.

During law school, Emanuel gained additional experience supporting cross-border mergers and acquisitions, foreign investment transactions, and international regulatory compliance while working with leading law firms and academic institutions in Mexico.

Emanuel is admitted to practice law in Mexico and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
