Darima Sodnomova

Assistant

Darima Sodnomova is a Legal Assistant in our corporate, investment funds, and securities practice.

Darima attends Columbia University, where she is working on a BA in Political Science with concentrations in International Relations and American Politics. She has been on Dean’s list multiple times. In addition to her stellar academic work, she is also a staff writer for the Columbia Political Review where she has produced analytical pieces ranging from energy policy to international affairs. This experience has helped her hone strong research and communication skills.

Besides her work at Schwartz LLC and studies at Columbia University, Darima is an intern for Jeannine Kiely’s New York State Assembly Campaign, where she has engaged in various roles such as recordkeeping, phone-banking, canvassing, volunteer engagement, research, and administrative coordination.

She was also previously a legislative affairs assistant in the Office of Assembly Member Steven Raga, where she conducted research for the Assemblyman regarding legislative and policy issues, and also communicated with constituents.

In her free time, Darima practices fencing, rides horses, and is interested in the fashion industry.

She speaks Russian and Buryat fluently, and is also fully proficient in English
